New Year"s Resolution Broken.... Literally

Well we made our New Year's resolution and as of February 18th 2009 it was broken.... literally. Our only resolution was that this year we wouldn't have any mishaps accompanied with a medical bill. Bill free in 2009 was our motto. Guess who broke it? No not Shane or Shaelyn surprisingly. It was little Haylee. I know I couldn't believe it either. She was on the couch and reached down for the video game controller and fell off onto her arm. I got a call from Grandma at work and away I flew.

At Instacare she was a trooper. She hardly even cried, maybe just a whimper or two. They xrayed it and sure enough it was broken. She had broken it just above her wrist, the little inside bone. It wasn't just a fracture it was a clean cut all the way through. They just put her in a splint which was a nightmare. So today we took her for a real cast. She was a trooper. She didn't mind it a bit. The Doctor and nurse couldn't believe how good she was. It is bright pink (Sissy's choice of course). She points to it and just says "Pretty". Got to love her.

Finally Driven Crazy

Help me I am going crazy...........
Yes Shane is out of town again. I know it's been awhile but that's the problem. I have gotten used to having my best friend home again. Just when you think all is well, POP and the bubble bursts.
I know Shane you are saying that you have it worse than me. I can just here you saying it now "At least your home with the kids and the family. I am stuck in this little tiny mining town with a bunch of guys and eating out every meal with nothing to do but work". Well darling I would trade that with you right now. I would love to lay in a hotel room right now without children waking up in the middle of the night. I would love to eat out every night. Yes, even McDonald's at least I would have HOT fries for a change. The only thing that sucks for you right now is I know a few of the men staying with you aren't your favorite but at least they are not screaming and running through the hotel room giving you a headache.
Let me tell you the situation I am in now. I am at home with your kids who realize you're out of town. Who are just as grouchy as I am because no doubt they are upset I am not wrestling them, flipping them over and around and under. Your oldest is upset because I will not let her play XBox 360 because her room isn't done (yes you know you give in). Your youngest is still sick and not sleeping well. She wants to be held every second while whining.
And tonight it's sleepover night. Yep, 3 giddy little giggly girls. I finally told them if they wake the baby they are tending her and playing with her. So they finally settled in for a movie.
Well Sweetie I just have one thing to say "Please hurry home!" I miss everything about you! This single mom thing is for the birds. I am a lover not a fighter. Hurry please!

My New Year's Wish

My New Year's Wish is that all my family and friends stay happy and healthy this year. Without them I could not make it in this crazy thing we call life. As I pondered the many happenings this year I realized in all of it, good or bad, there were so many people who helped me through.

I just wanted everyone to see my new pics of my Sister's kids. Ian is now 4 and Kyler is now 3. Their new sister Kaydence will be 1 in February. Too cute. Now you can see why I love them so much.
